Responsibilities
Responsible for all aspects of personal injury litigation, including but not limited to Labour Law, slip and fall, and motor vehicle accidents
Evaluate the merits of a personal injury case
Provide guidance and counsel to clients
Ensure prompt action is taken on all cases
Review and monitor case facts to determine insurance coverage, case value and medical care
Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients
Negotiate settlements throughout all stages of a case
Comply with all legal standards and regulations
Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law
Research and legal analysis
Ability to professionally multitask and meet multiple deadlines simultaneously
Appear for court dates, including but not limited to motions and trials, depositions, arbitration, and mediation in all counties
Qualification
Required
Licensed to practice in New York State and in good standing
At least five (2) years' experience as a plaintiff personal injury attorney
Strong command of plaintiff-side personal injury litigation
Excellent client-facing skills
Familiarity with various legal documents
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to build rapport with clients
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
