Senior Analytics Engineer

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement analytics strategies to deliver actionable insights and drive data-driven decisions across the company
Define, measure, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to subscribers, solar assets, renewable energy credits, and business operations
Collaborate closely with stakeholders across multiple departments to gather requirements, understand business processes, and ensure alignment with analytics solutions
Build and maintain robust reporting frameworks and dashboards utilizing tools such as Power BI to clearly communicate insights to stakeholders
Lead the identification and analysis of trends and opportunities within complex datasets
Contribute to data ingestion in Microsoft Fabric, following team standards and protocols
Use Jira for task management to support efficient, transparent, and collaborative development cycles
Oversee data quality, integrity, and security, ensuring compliance with company standards and industry regulations
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field
Expertise in defining KPIs, building reporting frameworks, and developing insightful data visualizations
Proficiency with analytics and visualization tools, especially Power BI
Strong SQL skills, with experience in querying, analyzing, and optimizing complex datasets
Experience collaborating with distributed teams, including offshore developers
Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and communicate findings effectively to diverse audiences
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Effective communicator comfortable working across technical and non-technical teams
A passion for clean technology and using software to accelerate positive climate impact
Preferred
Experience building Financial reporting (Actual v Budget, SG&A, etc)
Prior work in energy, utilities, or Community Solar Subscriber management
Experience with cloud-based data engineering solutions, particularly Microsoft Azure
Proficiency in Business Central platform and with analytics and visualization tools, especially Power BI
Familiarity with Azure, Microsoft Dynamics 365, PowerApps, or related Microsoft data platforms
