Responsibilities
Support, collaborate, and help manage the annual brand PR calendar in alignment with broader marketing goals with PR agency of record
Support Director of Brand Marketing in Zaxbys storytelling efforts across owned, earned, and partner channels—including evergreen brand initiatives, limited-time promotions, and novelty partnerships
Act as the day-to-day lead for Zaxbys PR agency, ensuring timely coordination, high-impact placements, and brand consistency
Collaborate with creative agency and cross-functional teams to concept, support, and execute culturally relevant brand activations and limited-time partnerships
Support Director of Brand Marketing with project management tasks for Brand-In-Culture activations in Zaxbys GTM cross-functional team
Support execution of high-profile novelty launches, from PR planning to post-campaign analysis. Partner with Sr. Manager of Influencer and Community Engagement to bring big, bold activation ideas to life
Serve as a key contact for daily media inquiries, crisis communications and issues management, partnering with leadership and external agencies to ensure a timely and brand-safe response
Responsible for management of Brand PR inbox and monitoring daily media inquiries
Oversee brand communication updates to Zaxbys web properties including the pressroom, general web copy updates, product promo page copy development, etc
Lead strategy and community management for Zaxbys LinkedIn channel to elevate brand voice and industry presence
Prepare PR briefing for agency and manage development of media materials including press releases, media alerts, fact sheets, and campaign toolkits designed to drive earned media coverage
Support new store openings (NSOs) with tailored PR strategies for new market entries local markets, and franchisee-led initiatives
Provide consultative comms support to the Franchise Development team to align storytelling with growth goals
Analyze campaign performance, media coverage, and PR ROI to inform future strategy
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, IMC, or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
4-6 years of experience in public relations, brand communications, or integrated marketing
Proven track record managing high-impact PR campaigns, cultural activations, and crisis communications
Strong experience managing external agencies and internal stakeholders
Deep understanding of the media landscape, influencer culture, and digital storytelling
Budget management experience with an ability to strategically allocate and optimize spend
Exceptional communication and project management skills
Preferred
Experience with CMS platforms, LinkedIn strategy, and content development is a plus
Background in QSR, franchise, or consumer lifestyle brands preferred
