Senior LevelGandiv Insights LLC is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to support pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging operations. This role is responsible for the design, support, maintenance, and validation of automation and control systems in a GMP-regulated environment, ensuring systems remain compliant, reliable, and in a state of control throughout their lifecycle.

Responsibilities
Support and maintain automation and control systems for pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging equipment
Troubleshoot PLC hardware and software using Allen-Bradley and OMRON platforms
Configure, maintain, and upgrade automation systems including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and DCS
Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operations
Support equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) and automation-related validation activities
Author, review, and execute GMP documentation including URS, FRS, risk assessments, and validation protocols
Ensure compliance with GMP, GAMP 5, FDA regulations, and 21 CFR Part 11
Participate in change control, deviation investigations, CAPA, and root cause analysis related to automation systems
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, IT, and Engineering teams to support production and continuous improvement
Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and automation architecture drawings
Qualification
Required
Experience in pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing automation
Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley and/or OMRON PLCs
Experience with SCADA, HMI, and DCS systems (e.g., DeltaV, FactoryTalk, Wonderware)
Knowledge of CSV and automation validation practices
Familiarity with GMP, GAMP 5, FDA regulations, and 21 CFR Part 11
Experience with industrial electrical systems, motors, VFDs, and control panels
Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
