Responsibilities
Lead structural engineering projects from concept through construction
Develop designs for steel, concrete, masonry, and timber structures
Perform forensic engineering investigations, evaluations, and reporting
Design and supervise repair and rehabilitation solutions for existing structures
Assess existing site and structural conditions and develop appropriate solutions
Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, standards, and regulations
Utilize industry-standard engineering software for analysis and design
Provide construction-phase support, including reviews and technical guidance
Establish and manage project scopes, budgets, and schedules
Review complete project documentation for quality assurance and conformity
Prepare technical proposals, engineering reports, and professional service submissions
Lead design efforts across a variety of structural project types
Coordinate work across multiple active projects with complex features
Apply extensive and diversified knowledge of structural engineering principles
Use advanced engineering techniques to modify or extend existing theories and practices
Develop new techniques, improved processes, or design solutions
Serve as a technical specialist or advisor to upper management and project teams
Supervise engineering staff and technical personnel as required
Review and approve project scopes, budgets, and schedules
Mentor junior staff and support professional development
Represent the organization in meetings, conferences, and technical discussions
Demonstrate advanced written and oral communication skills
Prepare detailed technical documentation, proposals, and reports
Represent the organization in client communications and professional conferences
Collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Professional Engineer (PE) license
8+ years of structural engineering experience in building technologies
Proven experience with steel, concrete, masonry, and timber structures
Strong understanding of building codes and regulatory requirements
Demonstrated leadership and project coordination experience
Proficiency with standard structural engineering software
Preferred
Construction-phase support experience
Stormwater management design experience
