Responsibilities
Drive process improvement initiatives on the production floor
Develop and improve manufacturing processes, including methods and workflow
Support and improve production tooling, fixtures, and equipment
Lead and support cost reduction and sustainability initiatives
Support new product development and new product introduction (NPI) projects
Develop and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve manufacturing issues
Manage project tasks and timelines to ensure successful completion
Create and revise drawings, part numbers, bills of materials (BOMs), and routings
Travel up to 15% domestically and possibly internationally, as required
Complete special projects and perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering/technical discipline required
1–4 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or in a similar technical role
Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
Proficiency in SolidWorks or AutoCAD
Project management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, drawings, schematics, and procedure manuals
Advanced skills in mathematics and statistics
Ability to reason through analysis, comparison, coordination, and innovation
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Ability to communicate effectively in English with management and employees
Preferred
Experience with Lean Manufacturing methodologies
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred
PMP certification preferred
