Responsibilities
Collaborate with business users to understand reporting, analytics, and data requirements
Conduct workshops to capture functional specifications and translate them into technical requirements
Document business processes, functional specifications (FS), and system enhancements
Design and maintain SAP BW and BW/4HANA data models, including InfoObjects, ADSOs, CompositeProviders, and Open ODS Views
Optimize data flows and architecture to support high-performing real-time and batch reporting
Ensure proper integration with SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and non-SAP data sources
Develop and support data extraction using SAP standard extractors, CDS Views, ODP frameworks, and custom extraction methods
Ensure data accuracy, quality, and consistency across the data warehouse environment
Troubleshoot extraction and data load issues
Support BI front-end tools such as SAP Analysis for Office, SAC (SAP Analytics Cloud), BEx Queries, Web Intelligence, or other reporting tools
Build and optimize queries, dashboards, and analytical views
Provide end-user training and support for BI tools
Monitor daily process chains, data loads, and system performance
Resolve incidents, service requests, and system defects within SLAs
Support upgrades, patches, migrations, and BW/4HANA conversion projects
Participate in end-to-end project lifecycle activities—design, build, test, deploy
Support SAP BW to BW/4HANA migration or greenfield BW/4HANA implementation
Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and IT standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related fields
At least 10 years hands on experience working on SAP- BW / BW4/HANA in the Insurance Industry
Experience in at least 2 complete SAP end to end SAP BW / BW4/HANA cycles on ECC / SAP HANA
Experience in both SAP HANA & SAP ECC 6.0
Must have experience in SAP BW / BW4/HANA Production Support in a non vanilla ECC 6.0 & SAP HANA environment
Preferred
Subject Matter Expertise in SAP Insurance
Financial Accounting background
Healthcare Industry experience
Certification in SAP BW / BW4/HANA
Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
