Responsibilities
Prepare, edit, and finalize client bills in accordance with firm and client-specific requirements
Review and revise proformas, ensuring accuracy and compliance before submission
Coordinate e‑billing processes, including uploads, revisions, and troubleshooting rejections
Generate and analyze proformas using 3E or similar billing systems
Utilize billing and accounts payable software to complete billing tasks and research inquiries
Monitor the status of outstanding bills and proactively follow up to meet deadlines
Communicate professionally with attorneys, clients, and internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies
Contact clients regarding delinquent invoices and assist in resolving outstanding issues
Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive financial, client, and proprietary information
Support month‑end and year‑end billing cycles, including reporting and reconciliation tasks
Assist with special projects, process improvements, and financial operations initiatives as needed
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred
At least 3 years of billing experience in a law firm or in accounting, finance, or a related professional services environment
Have experience with 3E, Elite, or similar legal billing platforms
Strong proficiency with billing software, Microsoft Office, and financial systems
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
Communicate clearly and professionally with attorneys, clients, vendors, and staff
Preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
