Sales Engineer

Solomon AI and 3D Vision is a company delivering industrial AI vision and automation solutions for manufacturing and logistics environments. They are seeking a Sales Engineer to support customer-facing technical engagements, bridging customer requirements with deployable solutions throughout the sales cycle.

Responsibilities

Support Account Managers in customer meetings, RFIs, and RFQs
Translate manufacturing and inspection challenges into technical solutions
Conduct site surveys, feasibility studies, and system sizing
Prepare technical proposals, solution descriptions, and presentations
Deliver system and software demonstrations
Define system architectures including cameras, lenses, lighting, compute, networking, and software
Collaborate with internal engineering and application teams on feasibility and scope
Assist with BOM preparation, cost estimation, and risk assessment
Support definition of project assumptions and timelines
Serve as the technical point of contact for assigned accounts
Clearly communicate complex technical concepts to engineering and operations teams
Support proof-of-concept (POC) and pilot deployments
Assist with system acceptance and transition to delivery teams
Work closely with product management, R&D, and application engineering
Provide structured feedback from the field to improve products and documentation
Maintain accurate technical records in CRM and internal tools

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or related)
2–5 years of experience in Sales Engineering, Application Engineering, or industrial automation
Familiarity with manufacturing environments and automation workflows
Strong communication and customer-facing skills
Willingness to travel up to 30%
Technical sales: 3 years (Required)
Ability to Commute: Houston, TX 77055 (Required)

Preferred

Experience with machine vision systems (2D/3D)
Exposure to industrial robotics (UR, ABB, Fanuc, etc.)
Basic understanding of PLCs, I/O, and industrial networking
Familiarity with AI / deep learning–based inspection concepts
Experience supporting RFQs and technical proposals
