Interior Design Intern
Montana Travel Co is focused on furnishing and designing short-term rentals and hospitality-style units. They are seeking an Interior Design Intern to collaborate with the owner on designing, sourcing, and executing interior upgrades for client-ready units.

Responsibilities
Create mood boards and design concepts (by room + full unit)
Measure spaces and develop furniture layouts (space planning)
Build FF&E lists: furniture, décor, lighting, wall art, linens, kitchen essentials
Source items from approved vendors (Amazon, Wayfair, IKEA, living spaces, etc.)
Manage revisions based on client feedback (2–3 revision rounds per room/unit)
Create a simple project tracker (ETA’s, backorders, substitutions)
Coordinate with me during install week to ensure design matches plan
Deliverables you’ll own: Mood board + style direction (per unit), Furniture layout plan (basic), Itemized shopping list w/ links, quantities, and pricing, Revision notes + final approved version, “Install checklist” (what goes where)
Qualification
Required
Current student or recent graduate in interior design or related program
Strong taste + ability to work within a defined style (hospitality / modern / neutral)
Familiarity with at least one: Canva / PowerPoint, Google Sheets, SketchUp, AutoCAD (any is fine)
Responsive communication + ability to hit deadlines
Preferred
Short-term rental / staging / hospitality interest
Knowledge of durable, budget-friendly furnishing choices
Experience sourcing alternatives when items go out of stock
