Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of commercial lines accounts, serving as the primary point of contact
Process policy changes, endorsements, and certificate requests accurately and efficiently
Handle policy renewals, conducting coverage reviews and securing competitive quotes
Manage non-renewal and rewrite situations, finding solutions for existing customers
Respond to client inquiries regarding coverage, billing, and claims
Conduct comprehensive policy reviews to identify coverage gaps and recommend appropriate solutions
Identify and pursue new business opportunities from prospective client inquiries and referrals
Collaborate with carriers and wholesalers to resolve issues and ensure smooth policy administration
Maintain compliance with underwriting guidelines and company standards
Support producers with occasional new business submissions as needed
Qualification
Required
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Excellent customer service mindset with ability to build lasting client relationships
Ability to quickly learn and understand different carrier underwriting guidelines and requirements
Ability to analyze coverage gaps and recommend appropriate solutions
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
Self-motivated with excellent time management skills
Preferred
3-5+ years of commercial lines insurance experience
Experience at an independent insurance agency
Active NY Property & Casualty insurance license
Proficiency with agency management systems (HawkSoft, AMS360, Applied Epic, or similar)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
Strong knowledge of commercial property, general liability, workers' compensation, business auto, umbrella, and other commercial lines coverages
