Responsibilities
Maintenance, installation, repair, and upkeep of equipment, machinery, and facility
Identify parts or machines needing new or replacement parts
Utilize shop mathematics to complete assignments
Ability to learn, optimize, and run all plant equipment
Interpret manuals, drawings, and equipment schematics to adjust, maintain, or repair machinery properly
Respond to requests by production when mechanical issues have been identified and troubleshoot problems
Communicate with production to diagnose problems
Perform preventive maintenance according to the equipment manufacturer’s recommendations
Complete assigned tasks with accuracy and efficiency regarding time and resources
Provide daily reports of activities during the shift
All other duties as assigned by the manager
Qualification
Required
High School diploma, or GED required
Technical certificate in electrical or machine maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is required
Necessary math skills - Addition, subtraction, and multiplication to record accurate reports
Ability to read and write in English
Ability to periodically lift and carry up to 25 lbs. Frequently lift 50 lbs
Must be able to stand for 12 hours in a non-climate-controlled environment
Ability to work weekends and/or shifts with a strong work ethic and employment history
Preferred
Industrial, electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting experience is preferred
Experience working on plastic extrusion equipment is a plus
