ECW Analyst
HCA Healthcare is a prominent healthcare provider, and they are seeking an ECW Analyst to leverage knowledge of Ambulatory Electronic Health Record (EHR) functionality. The role involves designing solutions to meet the challenges of the physician practice community, collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure effective content management and compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
The Informatics Analyst will collaborate with the Application Manager, Informaticists, and Informatics Analysts to design the Ambulatory EHR to meet all regulatory compliance, including Quality Payment Programs (Alternative Payment Model and Merit-Based Incentive Payment System) required data, internal Clinical Quality and Reporting needs and support efficient and effective point of care documentation. The focus will be on all aspects of content and workflow for the Ambulatory EMR
The Informatics Analyst will provide hands-on expertise and analysis regarding troubleshooting, problem solving, data related investigations, and collaborating with other teams in order to resolve issues under the supervision of the Application Manager. He/she will support Ambulatory EHR by coordinating efforts with the Application Managers, and Informaticists, Education team, Central Implementations, Division EMR analysts, and other stakeholders including teams requesting assistance with content, troubleshooting and special projects
The Informatics Analyst will represent the PSG business owner on Ambulatory EHR projects. He/she will contribute technical knowledge of business needs and software features and functions while working with IT product development and software vendors. He/she will leverage Business Analyst “Best Practices” during the development of Business and Stakeholder Requirements. The Informatics Analyst must employ elicitation techniques to ensure that the stakeholder’s actual underlying needs are understood, rather than their stated superficial desires
The Informatics Analyst is responsible for facilitating content maintenance and optimization of all assigned HCA EHR initiatives and efforts. The Informatics Analyst must be able to manage all aspects of the EHR content change management process representing the end user community, under direction of the Application Manager ensuring that changes to the clinical and business processes are fully documented and communicated. The position requires solid communication and change management skills and will be working with other departments such as compliance and PSG subject matter experts to deliver the best EHR solution to the HCA Physician Services practices. He/she will ensure that content maintenance activities adhere to established Guiding Principles of the EHR and PSG
Able to develop and facilitate the ongoing maintenance process for Ambulatory EHR
Establish and maintain effective relationships with clinical professionals and other stakeholders across the enterprise by recruiting clinicians' leadership, input, and buy-in for the maintenance process
Facilitate effective communication among all team members to ensure comprehensive understanding of needs, expectations, and requirements
Collaborate with Application Manager, Informaticists, and Analysts on the build and maintenance of companion products, reporting and workflow solutions for Ambulatory EHR applications to meet compliance and contractual requirements, including government programs, HCA initiatives, and corporate/division/facility requirements
Collaborate with IT&S, PSG, and other stakeholders to help define the use and integration of HCA's standard content into the products we support
Able to identify risks and opportunities regarding the design, implementation, and future use of standard content across the enterprise
Assist with defining automated reports
Participate in the development and generation of monthly reports
Assist, and support EHR team leads including onsite support and providing documentation for preparation, status and issues to various parts of the organization including senior management, CSG, PSG, division and facility executives/leadership as requested
Participate in the definition of project success criteria and define metrics to be collected, analyzed and reported
Participate in the development of optimization tools
Assist and lead training on current/new products including workflows and best practices
Manage assigned product timelines and requirements
Troubleshoot and resolve field issues with assigned products and escalate to vendor as needed
Work on other activities, as necessary, to support the Ambulatory EHR team
Qualification
Required
eCW Knowledge around setting up providers working hours / schedules required
Ability to troubleshoot issues seen when building provider schedules
Working with practice managers to determine the ideal online scheduling setup for providers
Ability to work with a small team and meet project timelines
