HUMAN RESOURCES TECHNICIAN
San Antonio Shoemakers (SAS) is a premier American manufacturer of high-quality comfort footwear based in San Antonio, Texas. They are seeking a Human Resources Technician to interpret HR policies, conduct exit interviews, and assist with employee relations and payroll duties.

Responsibilities
Interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations
Conduct exit interviews, analyze data and make recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement
Respond to employee relation issues such as employee complaints and investigations
Represent the company for any unemployment claims
Facilitate and conduct training, including new hire orientation
Maintain proper records of employee attendance and assist with payroll duties to ensure data integrity and compliance
Process check requests, deposits, loan request forms, and cash advance forms
Interview and screen job applicants to fill job openings
Coach, counsel and guide managers before executing employee disciplinary actions
Prepare or maintain employment records such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using human resources management system software
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bilingual in Spanish required
At least 3 years of proven experience as an entry-level HR recruiter
At least 2 years of experience as an HR Specialist or a junior role
Bachelor's degree in human resources management or a related field or the equivalent years of experience preferred
Must be able to lift 20 lbs
Must be able to sit or stand for 8 – 10 hours
Preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Complete understanding of MS Office suite
Good organizational skills with the desire to take initiative
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced work environment
Positive attitude and excellent problem-solving skills
Complete understanding of HRIS
Ability to professionally interact with all levels of the organization
Ability to efficiently work in a time-driven environment
Ability to securely handle employee records
PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
ADP Workforce Now experience preferred
