Responsibilities

3D Structural Modeling: Utilize Autodesk Revit to develop accurate 3D models of structural systems, including foundations, framing, and reinforcement
Drawing Production: Generate 2D construction documents, including floor plans, sections, and detailed structural drawings from the 3D model
System Coordination: Assist in the "clash detection" process, ensuring that structural elements do not interfere with architectural or MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) systems
Standard Maintenance: Adhere to company and project-specific BIM standards to ensure consistency across all sets of construction drawings
Project Collaboration: Work directly under the guidance of a BIM Manager or Structural Engineer to incorporate "redlines" and design changes throughout the project lifecycle
Document Management: Help organize and maintain project files, Revit families, and digital archives

Qualification

Autodesk RevitAutoCAD3D Structural ModelingDetail OrientedSpatial VisualizationStructural CuriosityCommunication

Required

Basic proficiency in Autodesk Revit is required (classroom experience or internship experience is acceptable)
Familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus
A strong ability to visualize 3D objects from 2D drawings and a solid understanding of basic geometric principles
A foundational interest in how buildings are constructed (e.g., how a steel beam connects to a column or how a foundation supports a wall)
High level of accuracy in drafting and a 'measure twice, cut once' mindset toward your work
Ability to ask clarifying questions and work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team environment
Associate Degree in CAD/BIM Design, Engineering Technology, or a related field
Vocational training or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline will also be considered
