System Administrator
Lighthouse Technology Services is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator / Engineer to provide high-quality IT support and infrastructure services to multiple client environments. The role involves remote support, on-site visits, and project-based work while maintaining a strong focus on security and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day technical support to multiple managed services clients via phone, email, remote tools, and on-site visits
Act as a trusted technical resource for clients by delivering responsive, professional, and solutions-oriented support
Maintain a strong customer service mindset while managing competing priorities across client environments
Administer and support mixed-platform environments (Windows-centric with limited Linux exposure)
Manage and maintain:
Microsoft Windows Server environments (2012–2025)
Microsoft Windows 10/11 workstations
Active Directory and Azure AD
Exchange and Microsoft 365 environments
Perform workstation and server installation, configuration, upgrades, and lifecycle management
Manage user accounts, permissions, group policies, and security settings
Monitor and maintain system performance, availability, and reliability
Administer network services including:
Switching, firewall, VPN, and wireless technologies
Fortinet firewalls
Cisco, Meraki, Ubiquiti, and SonicWALL environments
Manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
Ensure environments meet security best practices and compliance expectations
Execute and support infrastructure-related project work including:
Server and network upgrades
Cloud and on-prem migrations
Infrastructure modernization initiatives
Manage assigned project tasks independently and deliver work on time and to specification
Participate in planning, documentation, and post-project validation
Maintain detailed, accurate documentation for systems, networks, and client environments
Follow MSP standards, processes, and escalation procedures
Contribute to continuous improvement of tools, documentation, and service delivery practices
Qualification
Required
4-6 years of experience in a Systems Engineer, Systems Administrator, or similar role
Experience working in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment is highly preferred
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously
Strong time management, prioritization, and follow-through skills
Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused in high-stress situations
Advanced troubleshooting expertise in Microsoft-based environments
Strong working knowledge of: Microsoft Windows Server (2012–2025), Windows 10/11, Active Directory and Azure AD, Exchange / Microsoft 365, VMware ESXi and/or Hyper-V, Wireless access point technologies and deployment, Network switching, firewalls, and VPNs
Hands-on experience with Fortinet firewalls
Strong understanding of security, compliance, and best practices
Excellent documentation and communication skills
Strong analytical and complex problem-solving abilities
Willingness and desire to continuously learn new technologies
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for client site visits
Ability to work occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed
Preferred
MCSE or Microsoft Azure Administrator certification
Linux infrastructure experience (RedHat / CentOS 6/7/8)
Experience with storage solutions and infrastructure
Experience with PowerShell and scripting
Experience with SQL
Exposure to cloud-first or hybrid cloud MSP environments
