Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician (Medical Devices)
FUSTIS LLC is seeking an enthusiastic Engineering Technician to join their innovative Mechanical Engineering Team developing complex medical robotic systems. The role involves supporting engineering development activities, building and testing prototypes, and collaborating with a cross-functional team to ensure successful product development and manufacturing.
Responsibilities
Support engineering development activities including but not limited to design, fabrication, assembly, modification, and test of complex electro-mechanical medical instruments, assemblies, and components
Build and test R&D prototypes systems during the engineering development lifecycle
Support transfer of development instruments to manufacturing
Support test and fixture development for internal R&D use and experimental testing
Support Reliability, Verification and Validation Testing
Provide data for test reports, assembly procedures, and troubleshooting guides
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to perform mechanical, electrical, and/or system level troubleshooting, leading to the identification of root cause and corrective action of instrument failures
Demonstrated proficiency with hand tools, precision measurement equipment, soldering, hands-on experience building harnesses, knowledge of electrical and mechanical test equipment, and/or machine tools - (machine shop experience is a big plus)
Proven ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, tolerances and electrical schematics
Knowledge of CAD package(s) is desirable (not required)
Knowledge of 3D printing and post processing (highly desired)
Strong attention to detail when executing reworks, test protocols, or engineering assemblies
Multi-tasking skills and ability to work in a fast pace multi-disciplinary environment with a 'I can do' attitude
Qualification
Required
Associate degree in an engineering discipline (EE or ME Engineering preferred) or relevant working experience
Minimum of 5- 7 years of experience working in a technical field of Electronics, Electrical or Mechanical assembly, fabrication, Machining, Harness Build, system level
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to perform mechanical, electrical, and/or system level troubleshooting, leading to the identification of root cause and corrective action of instrument failures

Prepare and follow documentation and procedures, protocols, and engineering documentation as required

Knowledge of FDA QSR (desired), ISO Quality Systems, GMP and GLP
