Responsibilities
Drive the Carter Burden Network’s future growth at a time of external policy and funding shifts
Report to the Board of Directors as the chief executive, chief fundraiser and ambassador for CBN
Ensure program excellence through vision and strategy
Lead government relations; oversee finance, compliance, operations and talent acquisition
Nurture a hospitality‑forward culture where every participant feels seen and supported
Cultivate a trusting relationship with the NYC Department for the Aging and its leadership
Broaden relationships and revenue sources across governmental, philanthropic and private sector sources
Qualification
Required
Collaborative and experienced leadership skills
Innovative approach to advancing organizational goals
Significant experience in managing a high-performing team
Proven track record of creating new and expanded sources of income
Experience in cultivating and building relationships with partners, supporters, and the larger community
Ability to drive organizational growth amidst external policy and funding shifts
Strong understanding of government relations and compliance
Experience overseeing finance and operations
Talent acquisition experience
Ability to nurture a hospitality-forward culture
Deep understanding of the functions of the NYC Department for the Aging (NYC Aging, or DFTA)
Ability to enhance partnerships with NYC Aging
Experience in broadening relationships and revenue sources across governmental, philanthropic, and private sector sources
Willingness to work on-site in CBN's New York City office, Monday through Friday
