Multimedia Officer
The University of South Florida is a top-ranked research university, and they are seeking a Multimedia Officer to support their communication goals through multimedia projects. This role involves managing end-to-end multimedia production, including video production, editing, and live event support, to enhance the visibility of the Florida Center for Behavioral Health Workforce.
Responsibilities
Schedule and coordinate video shoots, recruit and prepare video subjects, set up lighting, audio and video equipment, capture footage and support live video streaming efforts
Edit video and audio files to produce final video packages and podcast episodes, including audio mixing, sound balancing, noise reduction, motion graphics and basic animations
Operate and manage audio recording and mixing equipment, including microphones, mixers and related hardware, for video productions, podcasts and live events
Design print and digital collateral such as social media graphics, event invitations, presentation slides, reports and other marketing materials
Write scripts and create storyboards for video projects
Prepare reports assessing the effectiveness of video and multimedia campaigns, including recommendations for improvement
Develop written content and graphics for social media platforms
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or a related field. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be considered
3–5 examples of previous work in audiovisual production, graphic design or photography, demonstrating creativity and technical proficiency
Demonstrated experience in photography, graphic design and video and audio production, including shooting and editing video, recording audio and performing basic to intermediate audio mixing
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications used for graphic design, and video and audio editing
Preferred
2–4 years of professional experience in an audiovisual or multimedia environment
Experience recording, editing or producing podcasts or other long-form audio content
Experience writing scripts for diverse audiences to support specific communication objectives
Experience developing video animations or motion graphics
