Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day production support for EQD trading systems; act as primary contact for Traders
Analyze incidents, debug logs, investigate order rejects, and drive issues through resolution
Support an in-house Execution Management System (EMS) interacting with U.S. markets
Prepare systems for platform upgrades, releases, and new tool rollouts
Monitor production environments using ITRS and improve alerting and visibility
Execute SQL queries to validate trades, investigate issues, and generate reports
Onboard new client setups and maintain related configurations
Test complex trading scenarios in lower environments and coordinate fixes with Dev/QA teams
Assist with build promotions and release validation
Create or enhance small automation scripts (Python preferred; Shell/Bash acceptable)
Maintain simple scripts and configs using Git
Help refine runbooks, SOD/EOD procedures, and operational workflows
Qualification
Required
2+ years supporting trading desk applications (OMS/EMS)
Strong understanding of FIX protocol and order lifecycle
Proficient in Linux/Unix (log analysis, shell usage, scripting)
Scripting experience in Python, Shell, Perl, Batch, or PowerShell
Strong SQL skills for querying and data validation
Experience supporting real-time, production trading environments
Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
Comfortable working independently in a high-pressure trading environment
Willing to occasionally support meetings with global teams (early morning or evening ET)
Preferred
Familiarity with CI/CD concepts or deployment tools
Experience with FIX engines
Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, connectivity, latency)
