Responsibilities
Serve as lead Engineer on new product design projects, managing scope, schedule, action items, and budgets
Design detailed mechanical components, assemblies, and drawings using CAD software
Conduct and present phase-gate design reviews with internal stakeholders and customers throughout the NPD lifecycle
Develop custom mechanical solutions tailored to customer requirements
Coordinate with external vendors and multiple manufacturing departments to bring projects to completion
Design and execute product testing plans, analyze results, and communicate findings
Perform root cause analysis on mechanical issues and implement corrective actions
Conduct mechanical analysis to validate designs under real-world conditions
Support DFM/DFA initiatives, supply chain, and quality teams (including first article inspections and supplier design changes)
Contribute to technical documentation, product manuals, and engineering support materials
Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement within the engineering department
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of experience designing mechanical products through the full product lifecycle
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Proficiency with CAD software, MS Office, and engineering data management systems
Experience with FEA, GD&T, and manufacturing best practices
Ability to communicate effectively across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams
Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with rapid prototyping and production ramp-ups
