Responsibilities

Provide design output documentation to support minor facility modifications
The types of design output documents typically developed by a piping design engineer within the Mission Engineering organization are drawings, engineering instructions, data sheets, equipment specifications, equivalency evaluations, calculations, etc
Must be able to do pipe stress analysis
Familiarity with and experience in developing designs in accordance with ASME B31.3 and ASME B31.1
Works with other engineering disciplines and other plant organizations to produce timely design output
Experience in a NRC or DOE regulated environment is desirable
Requires an understanding of Conduct of Engineering, Conduct of Operations, and Conduct of Maintenance for facilities operating within a nuclear regulated environment
Requires strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interface effectively with various clients, production and support organizations, management, and hourly wage employees
Must be willing to perform field walk-downs and work in a production environment

Requires an ABET accredited BS degree in a relevant Engineering discipline plus 10 or more years of relevant professional experience or a MS degree in a relevant Engineering discipline plus 10 or more years of relevant professional experience
A Q clearance or ability to get one is required
Level 3: BA/BS Degree plus 10-14 years of direct experience required, or a MA or MS with 10-13 years of experience
Level 4: BA/BS Degree plus 15-20 years of direct experience required, or a MA or MS with 14-18 years of experience
Level 5: BA/BS Degree plus 20 years of direct experience required, or a MA or MS with 19 years of experience

Preferred

Experience with Autopipe
Experience in a NRC or DOE regulated environment
