Responsibilities
Identify and generate new qualified leads within the healthcare and medical construction market within a 120-mile radius of Cary
Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers managing multiple facilities, campuses, or healthcare locations
Understand client needs and position the company as a solutions-driven contractor known for on-time delivery, proactive problem-solving, and clear communication
Conduct market research to identify opportunities, emerging trends, and competitive insights
Schedule and lead face-to-face meetings, presentations, and site visits with prospective clients
Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline using CRM tools
Collaborate with estimating and operations teams to create compelling proposals and presentations
Strengthen relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction, repeat business, and referrals
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions
Provide regular updates on pipeline activity, market insights, and business development efforts to leadership
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management
Proven track record of lead generation, deal closing, and meeting or exceeding sales goals
Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills, including engagement with C-suite executives and facility managers
Experience using CRM software (Buildr experience is a plus)
Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage time effectively
Strong presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Willingness to travel regularly within a 120-mile radius for client meetings and events
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while working independently to achieve goals
Preferred
Construction industry experience strongly preferred
Understanding of healthcare construction or ability to quickly learn sector-specific requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, construction management, or a related field preferred
