Corporate Accounting Manager - Senior Corporate Accounting Manager

Halliburton is one of the world's largest providers of products and services to the global energy industry, seeking a Senior Corporate Accounting Manager. This role is responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial reporting functions related to new product development, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

Staffing & Recruiting

Responsibilities

Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for technology
Review journal entries and account reconciliations
Spearhead monthly forecasting and annual planning
Perform detailed variance analysis between actuals, budgets, and forecasts; explain and report trends, deviations, and underlying causes
Manage the preparation and review of reports and presentations highlighting key financial metrics and variances
Manage accounting for technology-related assets, including software, hardware, and cloud services
Oversee capitalization, depreciation, amortization, and impairment of technology assets
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
Partner with technology teams to provide accounting guidance on new technology initiatives, capital projects, and software implementations
Support external and internal audits
Analyze trends, variances, and financial performance to provide insights and recommendations to leadership
Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff, fostering a high-performing and collaborative team environment
Partner with business units to provide financial insights, support decision-making, and identify cost-saving opportunities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues

Required

Applies technical accounting skills acquired through completion of an accounting or business university degree and eight (8) years of progressive experience in finance or accounting related roles, to include management experience
Demonstrates advanced functionality of common office environment, functional applications such as SAP and Hyperion, and relevant business applications
Demonstrates strong knowledge in aspects of finance and accounting, internal controls and risk mitigation, company policy, financial analysis and statutory reporting, forecasting, and financial applications of varying complexity, as well as performance management and advanced levels of proficiency with industry and company acumen
