Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Operational Buyers while overseeing daily performance and execution
Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials, tools, and services in line with MRP demand and business schedules
Own buyer KPI development and performance management, including requisition compliance, MRP execution, and delivery metrics
Drive supplier performance improvement, including on time delivery, risk mitigation, and relationship management
Implement and enforce standard work, daily management routines, and procurement process discipline
Ensure purchase orders align with contracts, inventory targets, cost objectives, and compliance requirements
Promote and demonstrate behaviors aligned with GKN Aerospace Great Place to Work values and culture principles
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field; 7+ years of relevant aerospace industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
5+ years of relevant business experience, including 3+ years in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or Production Management within the aerospace industry
1+ years of experience managing and leading people
Ability to travel up to 25% domestically
U.S. Person, as defined by ITAR regulations, to comply with export control requirements
Preferred
APICS, CPM, or comparable supply chain or procurement certification
Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS requirements and contractual flow downs
Strong understanding of the aerospace industry and the AS9100 Quality Management System
Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
Demonstrated ability to build strong supplier relationships with insight into supplier processes and capabilities
Proven leadership experience working with cross‑functional teams
