Responsibilities
Perform engineering, configuration, administration, and operational support for Solace Messaging environments
Architect and deploy messaging infrastructure using Solace PubSub+ and Advanced Event Mesh across cloud environments
Define and implement event-driven architectures, leveraging Solace features such as event mesh, topic hierarchies, and dynamic routing
Configure Solace components including brokers, VPNs, queues, topics, and client connections for optimal performance and reliability
Ensure strong security, access control, monitoring, and compliance of Solace platforms
Collaborate with application and development teams to integrate Solace with microservices, APIs, and external platforms (Kafka, JMS, MQTT, etc.)
Troubleshoot complex messaging issues related to latency, throughput, durability, and availability
Automate infrastructure setup, deployments, and monitoring using tools such as Terraform and Ansible
Provide guidance on event modeling, governance standards, and topic taxonomy best practices
Support enablement activities including training and knowledge transfer for internal engineering and DevOps teams
Provide Level 3 production support, including incident resolution and root cause analysis
Conduct research, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and evaluations for new products and features
Demonstrate a flexible, positive attitude with the ability to learn new technologies quickly and work independently while being a strong team player
Qualification
Required
Solace Messaging (1–2 years hands-on experience)
Cloud Platforms (AWS preferred)
Strong scripting experience using Korn Shell (ksh), Perl, or similar
RedHat Linux platform
Overall IT experience of 8+ years
Preferred
TIBCO, IBM MQ, IBM ACE
Container platforms: EKS / Kubernetes / OpenShift
Infrastructure automation tools: Terraform, Ansible
AWS Certifications (DevOps / SysOps / Architect tracks)
