Responsibilities

Partner with HR leadership to support departmental goals and provide day-to-day HR support across all functional areas
Maintain accurate and confidential personnel files for active and inactive employees
Enter, update, and audit employee data in HR systems to ensure accuracy and timeliness
Conduct new hire orientations and coordinate onboarding activities, including review of policies, procedures, and benefits
Assist with weekly payroll processing by ensuring accurate data entry, reconciliation, and issue resolution
Support benefits administration including new enrollments, employee communications, benefit changes, terminations, open enrollment, reporting, and invoice reconciliation
Respond to wage garnishments, child support orders, employment verifications, and inquiries from third parties and government agencies
Assist with employee terminations and offboarding, including benefit terminations, asset recovery, and system updates
Support compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations (EEO, I-9, E-Verify, ADA, FMLA, ERISA, wage and hour laws, workers' compensation, OSHA, and applicable state requirements)
Conduct formal and informal employee relations investigations, prepare objective documentation, and recommend appropriate actions
Maintain organizational charts and prepare recurring and ad hoc HR and payroll reports
Assist with HR audits, compliance reporting, and regulatory documentation
Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, surveys, and related activities
Participate in HR projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned
Support recruiting efforts by reviewing applications, conducting phone screens, coordinating interviews, and assisting with hiring logistics
Provide backup support for front desk or reception functions as needed
Perform additional HR-related duties as assigned to support business needs

Required

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, or a minimum of 3 years of HR experience
Experience supporting payroll and benefits administration
Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws
Excellent organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with HR systems and related software
Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP)

Preferred

UKG experience strongly preferred
Google Workspace experience preferred
