Leatherman Tool Group is looking for a Senior Manufacturing Quality Assurance Engineer to help drive product and process excellence across their manufacturing operations and supply chain. The role involves owning complex quality challenges, influencing cross-functional teams, and leading AI-enabled quality solutions using advanced analytics and automation tools.

Manufacturing

Responsibilities

Drive plant-wide and multi-site quality improvements
Lead SPC standards, process capability, and inspection strategies
Own metrology strategy (GR&R, CMM, vision systems, custom gages)
Support supplier qualification, audits, and corrective actions
Partner on NPI and new equipment qualification
Lead CAPA and continuous improvement initiatives (DMAIC, A3, 5 Whys)
Champion AI and automation tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Power Platform) to elevate quality systems

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field
10+ years of quality engineering experience (or 5+ with a Master's)
Deep experience with SPC, process capability, GD&T, and root cause analysis
Background in high-volume manufacturing
Strong communicator who can influence at the shop-floor and leadership levels

Preferred

Lean, Six Sigma, or ASQ CQE certification a plus
