Responsibilities
Support family law matters from intake through resolution, with increasing responsibility over time
Draft and revise legal documents including pleadings, motions, declarations, and related filings
Manage discovery including propounding, responding, and organizing productions
Assist with deposition and trial preparation including exhibits, witness binders, and case timelines
Maintain strong client communication and help keep matters moving with clear updates and follow-through
Coordinate calendars, deadlines, and court-related logistics to ensure nothing slips
Collaborate directly with the attorney and team in a close, high-accountability environment
Qualification
Required
1+ year of family law paralegal experience required
Ability to work on-site in Sacramento during standard business hours
Strong writing, organization, and attention to detail
Comfortable handling deadlines, client contact, and multiple active matters
Preferred
Familiarity with Sacramento area courts and procedures is a plus
Trial prep, discovery-heavy experience, and high-conflict case exposure are strong pluses
