Administrative Coordinator (Coordinated Entry)

Wake County is focused on reducing homelessness and is seeking an Administrative Coordinator to manage and optimize By-Name Lists within its Coordinated Entry system. The role involves ensuring compliance with HUD guidelines, supporting data-driven decision-making, and engaging community partners to enhance service delivery.

Responsibilities

Monitor client inflow across unsheltered, sheltered, and diversion programs; ensure timely documentation and referrals; track progress with service providers
Deliver training on Coordinated Entry processes; onboard new agencies; present data insights to stakeholders; support community collaboration
Update BNL policies and protocols; maintain system manuals; ensure compliance with HUD CoC standards
Oversee accurate data entry; analyze trends; prepare reports for leadership and funders; ensure HMIS data integrity
Lead case conferencing; participate in CoC meetings; build partnerships with agencies serving specialized populations

Required

Associate's degree
Two years of job-related experience
Equivalent education and experience are accepted

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Human Services, or a related field
Three (3) years of job-related experience including work as a case manager, intake specialist or care coordination
Familiarity with HUD CoC and HMIS policies and procedures
Experience managing large data sets and coordinating client care, case management plans
Demonstrated knowledge of diversion strategies and housing-focused best practices
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation across multiple systems
Experience working with HUD funded programs, including but not limited to Continuum of Care and/or Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG)
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively and empathetically with clients, providers, and community partners
