Responsibilities
Advise the business on U.S. import and customs compliance matters, including HTS classification, country of origin and marking determinations, tariff analysis, and FDA and other regulatory requirements that apply at the time of import
Work closely with cross-functional partners on compliance risk assessments, program improvements, and contract provisions
Support audits, investigations, and special projects as needed
Qualification
Required
Experienced U.S. customs and import attorney
Ability to advise on U.S. import and customs compliance matters
Knowledge of HTS classification
Understanding of country of origin and marking determinations
Experience with tariff analysis
Familiarity with FDA and other regulatory requirements that apply at the time of import
Ability to work closely with cross-functional partners on compliance risk assessments
Experience in program improvements and contract provisions
Support for audits, investigations, and special projects as needed
Enjoyment of complex, high-impact work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
