8+ years expRexus Group is seeking an experienced Level-3 Senior Backup & Recovery Engineer with strong Rubrik expertise to support the deployment, configuration, integration, testing, and operational handover of a Rubrik Data Backup and Protection System for a large enterprise customer. The role involves working closely with customer IT teams and project stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and operational readiness.

Responsibilities
Review existing on-premises and cloud IT environments
Assess backup requirements, recovery objectives (RPO/RTO), and integration scope
Participate in technical planning and design workshops
Prepare implementation and configuration plans
Perform logical setup and configuration of Rubrik environments
Configure authentication, access control, and network connectivity
Configure SLA domains, backup schedules, and retention policies
Apply security and compliance best-practice configurations
Integrate Rubrik with:
Virtual machines (VMware / Hyper-V)
Physical servers (Windows / Linux)
Databases (SQL, Oracle, etc. – if applicable)
Cloud workloads (AWS / Azure / M365 – if applicable)
Validate application-consistent backups
Troubleshoot integration and performance issues
Perform backup and restore testing
Conduct recovery simulations and DR testing
Validate successful recovery against business requirements
Resolve backup failures and optimization issues
Prepare deployment, configuration, and validation documentation
Conduct knowledge transfer sessions for customer IT teams
Provide operational best practices and support handover
Provide stabilization support
Monitor backup jobs and system health
Assist with tuning, optimization, and change requests
Qualification
Required
Strong hands-on experience with Rubrik CDM / Rubrik Security Cloud
Enterprise backup & recovery architecture
VMware vSphere / Hyper-V integration
Windows & Linux system administration
Network fundamentals (VLANs, DNS, firewall rules, routing basics)
8+ years of overall IT infrastructure experience
4+ years in enterprise backup & disaster recovery
2+ years hands-on Rubrik implementation experience
Strong experience in enterprise-scale environments
Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
Strong documentation and reporting abilities
Ability to work independently and in team environments
Experience working under structured project timelines
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Preferred
Rubrik Certified Engineer (RCE) – Preferred
VMware VCP – Preferred
Microsoft Azure / AWS certifications – Advantage
