Responsibilities
Design complex mechanical systems for custom automated assembly equipment
Develop designs from concept layouts through detailed component and assembly models
Execute work independently using established and advanced engineering principles
Adapt or modify standard design approaches for non-routine or complex applications
Participate in structured design reviews and efficiently incorporate feedback
Ensure designs meet requirements for functionality, manufacturability, safety, and quality
Collaborate with controls, systems, and manufacturing teams to support integration
Deliver accurate, complete mechanical designs within aggressive project schedules
Qualification
Required
6+ years of experience designing automated assembly systems
Strong background as a Mechanical Design Engineer in automation or special machinery
Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks (required)
Strong understanding of mechanical fundamentals, component selection, and system-level design
Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Comfortable receiving and applying ongoing design feedback
Able to perform effectively in a high-output, deadline-driven environment
Preferred
Experience with Windchill
