Responsibilities
Operates various mechanical farming equipment used in agricultural production, such as tractors, sod harvesters, combines and irrigation equipment
Operates towed machines such as seed drills or manure spreaders to plant, fertilize, dust and spray fields
Performs inspection and maintenance of equipment, vehicles, buildings, and facilities
Adjust, repair and service farm machinery and notify supervisor or farm manager when machinery malfunctions
Mix specified materials and dump materials or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery
Participates in construction/maintenance projects
May train new staff or act as lead worker
Performs other related tasks related to agriculture harvesting as assigned by Farm Supervisor
Qualification
Required
2+ years of experience operating farm equipment and/or heavy machinery
Must be able to work in a safety aware environment
Must be 18 years of age or older
Pre-employment drug screening required
Preferred
Bilingual skills are desired but not required
