Maintenance Planner

They are looking for a Maintenance Planner to support operational excellence by prioritizing, planning, and scheduling maintenance work orders while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory policies.

Responsibilities
Plan and schedule preventative and failure maintenance work orders, balancing workload among mechanics while effectively utilizing maintenance skills and abilities
Provide directions to mechanics in reference to assigned tasks and equipment issues
Ensure regulatory work orders are completed and documented as required
Maintain preventative maintenance schedule and ensure all the documentation is kept current in Maximo
Facilitate communication between production and maintenance teams regarding PMs and repairs, priorities, and Maximo training as needed
Make judgement calls on maintenance repairs including making the decision to use contractors or vendors to do the work
Work with vendors & contractors to schedule and complete failure and preventative maintenance, ensuring all contractors meet required qualifications per MN005AF
Develop preventative maintenance and repair job plans based on RAGAGEPs, industry standards, and manufacturers’ recommendations
Optimize PM and repair plans by utilizing feedback from mechanics and failure data
Improve the asset management system (Maximo) including PMs, planning, safety plans, inventory, and reporting capabilities for failure analysis
Maintain required levels of critical spares and parts inventory. Review of inventory for needed PMs
Participate in RCRA, regulatory, health & safety and process training
Serve on the emergency response team
Uphold Hydrite’s Standard of Excellence
Maintain equipment, process, and instrumentation files
Back Maintenance Supervisor and Inventory
Train staff on maintenance-related activities
Recommend SOP and equipment changes
Support project management, receiving parts and scheduling maintenance work
Performing Contractor permits
Support communication with all Hydrite departments
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent
5+ years industrial mechanical experience required
Experience in coordinating maintenance projects
Experience with maintenance software programs (preferably Maximo)
Strong computer skills
Ability to read mechanical diagrams
Ability to learn and understand different production processes and equipment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Must have an acceptable driving record
Ability to wear a respirator for up to 4 hours daily
Lift up to 100 lbs occasionally; 50 lbs frequently
Sit/stand up to 10 hours per day
Climb ladders and work at heights up to 50 feet
Perform manual dexterity tasks
Able to travel and work outside normal hours
Frequent turning, twisting, stooping, bending, and reaching
Preferred
2+ years of education in maintenance or engineering preferred
