Social Research Asst I (Temporary)
N.C. Department of Information Technology is seeking a temporary Social Research Assistant I to support the Labor Economics Analysis Division. The primary purpose of this position is to collect, process, analyze, and edit employment, wage, industry, and location data reported by employers to ensure the quality of state and local economic data.

Collect, process, analyze, and edit employment, wage, industry, and location data reported by employers to ensure the quality of state and local economic data
Review survey responses for accuracy
Enter data into databases
Contact employers to verify responses
Resolve data discrepancies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in education, business, sociology, economics, psychology or related to work performed from an appropriately accredited institution
High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of experience involving collecting, interpreting, and reporting of statistical or social or economic data
An equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form
Working knowledge of methods and techniques used in gathering, editing, analyzing, interpreting and reporting social, educational, or economic information
Working knowledge of statistical principles and techniques used in collecting, interpreting, and reporting numerical data
