Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines using Azure services and Snowflake
Architect and implement enterprise-scale data warehouse and data lake solutions
Develop and optimize Snowflake schemas, including star and snowflake models
Build and manage ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, or similar tools
Implement data ingestion from multiple sources (structured and unstructured)
Optimize Snowflake performance through partitioning, clustering, caching, and query tuning
Ensure data quality, reliability, and governance across the data platform
Collaborate with data scientists, BI developers, and business stakeholders
Implement CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data pipeline and performance issues
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices and architectural standards
Qualification
Required
7+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2), Azure Functions / Logic Apps (preferred)
Extensive experience with Snowflake: Data warehouse design, Performance tuning, Security and access control, Streams, tasks, and time travel
Proficiency in SQL and Python
Experience with ETL/ELT frameworks and data integration patterns
Knowledge of data modeling concepts (Kimball, Inmon)
Experience with Git, DevOps, and CI/CD tools
Strong understanding of data security, governance, and compliance
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
