Business Development Strategist

Responsibilities

Make outbound calls daily to prospects who have attended events, been referred to the firm, or expressed interest in planning services
Initiate engaging conversations that build trust, spark curiosity, and lead to qualified discovery meetings
Confidently work through hesitations and objections with professionalism and empathy, guiding prospects toward clarity and next steps
Track activity, follow-ups, outcomes, and scheduled meetings accurately in the CRM
Maintain consistent follow-up cadence to ensure no interested prospect falls through the cracks
Collaborate with marketing and advisors to ensure strong lead quality, messaging alignment, and timely follow-up
Attend all firm-hosted dinner seminars and marketing events to support guest experience and engagement
Assist with on-site engagement, answering questions and helping identify interested prospects for follow-up
Partner with the marketing team to ensure smooth event execution and strong post-event conversion
Enter and maintain leads, notes, and follow-up activity in the CRM with accuracy
Maintain clean data to support reporting on event and outreach effectiveness
Support leadership and advisors with projects related to business development and client engagement

Required

A natural conversationalist who genuinely enjoys talking to people
Confident and resilient — able to work through objections without taking them personally
1+ years of experience in business development, outbound calling, client engagement, or similar high-communication roles
Self-motivated, organized, and driven by results
Excellent verbal communication and listening skills
Comfortable spending a majority of the day on the phone
