Responsibilities

The selected individual will be responsible for oversight of payroll, benefits administration, recruitment, personnel changes, leaves of absences, retirements/separations, classification/compensation, onboarding, and database integrity. Attention to detail and managing schedules and deadlines is critical
The selected individual must be committed to providing quality service, be highly motivated, and possess strong skills in the areas of program and relationship management, leadership, problem solving, written/oral communication, and presentation. The ability to perform successfully in a fast-paced work environment, adapt behavior and work methods to changing conditions, and ensure prompt resolution of queries are essential to success in this position
The selected individual must have knowledge of the legal requirements of State and Federal employment laws including, but not limited to, FLSA, FMLA, NJFLA, ADA, NJLAD and Workers' Compensation, and provide interpretation and advisement on the above, as well as Judiciary policies, directives, and negotiated labor agreements. This individual will also participate in the resolution of disciplinary matters and grievances
The selected individual will assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining internal controls, operating procedures, and systems as well as preparing and analyzing technical and statistical reports. Participation in local and/or statewide committees or conferences is also required

Required

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and three years of professional administrative experience, one of which shall have included experience in payroll processing, benefits administration, classification, salary administration, labor/employee relations, training, and/or selection/recruitment
Knowledge of the legal requirements of State and Federal employment laws including, but not limited to, FLSA, FMLA, NJFLA, ADA, NJLAD and Workers' Compensation
Ability to provide interpretation and advisement on employment laws, Judiciary policies, directives, and negotiated labor agreements
Commitment to providing quality service, highly motivated, and possess strong skills in program and relationship management, leadership, problem solving, written/oral communication, and presentation
Ability to perform successfully in a fast-paced work environment, adapt behavior and work methods to changing conditions, and ensure prompt resolution of queries
Regular and predictable physical presence at the worksite is an essential function of this position
Driver's License: Appointee will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position
Authorization to Work: Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations
Newly hired employees must agree to a thorough background check that will include fingerprinting
