Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain DB2-based database applications
Implement complex business logic using advanced SQL
Support enhancements and modernization of financial systems
Develop custom solutions to support financial reporting and operational needs
Work closely with finance, accounting, and technical stakeholders to gather requirements
Ensure database solutions meet performance, reliability, and scalability expectations
Participate in testing, validation, and documentation activities
Provide support for production systems as needed
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in data engineering or database development
Strong expertise in DB2 database development
Advanced SQL skills
Experience supporting financial or accounting-related systems
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
Ability to work on-site in Houston at least 3 days per week
Preferred
Experience with enterprise financial platforms (e.g., Hyperion, Oracle Financials, or similar systems)
Experience working in large-scale or regulated environments
Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with business users
