ANALYST I
Caltrans District 3 is seeking an Analyst I to join their team. This position involves performing analytical duties related to the Native American Land Information System and assisting California Indian tribes in adhering to the California Environmental Quality Act.

Responsibilities
Independently performing the less complex analytical duties developing and maintaining the Native American Land Information System (NALIS)
Assist the NAHC in aiding California Indian tribes with adhering to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)
Conferring directly with tribal governments, landowners, environmental consultants, and government agencies as a representative of the NAHC in the protection of tribal cultural resources that are traditionally and culturally affiliated to their jurisdictions to mitigate CEQA project impacts to tribal cultural resources in order to fulfill NAHC’s statutory responsibilities for the implementation of Assembly Bill (AB) 52 (Gatto, 2014)
Qualification
Required
Must reside in California upon appointment
Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship by the start date of employment
Employment History on the STD 678 (State Application) must be complete and include dates, accurate hours per week, total time worked, duties and responsibilities, and contact names and phone numbers of supervisors
Individuals who are new to state service must have list eligibility in order to gain employment with any state agency

Statement of Qualifications - REQUIRED– Statement of Qualifications
Preferred
Experience in working with California Native American tribes with specific knowledge in Native American history, and contemporary tribal cultural issues
Knowledge of and experience in working with California Environmental Quality Act
Has the ability to manage and organize multiple assigned tasks independently
Excellent skills in written and oral communication
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of California and tribal governments
Skill with computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and database software
