Resident Communications Associate

The City of New York oversees a variety of public services, including housing. The Resident Communications Associate will manage and coordinate mold and leak repair communications efforts for NYCHA, ensuring effective communication with residents and operations teams.

Responsibilities

Use communications tools such as phone, Maximo Asset Management system to coordinate completion of mold and leak work order ticket
Communicate effectively with NYCHA residents and NYCHA’s Operations team to coordinate scheduling and facilitate repairs
Log efforts and communications into Zendesk case tracking platform, while answering OCC’s inquiries
Log efforts and communications into Zendesk case tracking platform for Healthy Start initiative
Evaluate and adjust programs for quality and effectiveness to meet the resident and Authority needs
Conduct site visits as required
Perform other clerical support duties as assigned, including general recordkeeping
Perform other related duties

Required

High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or
Education and/or experience which is equivalent to '1' above

Preferred

Familiarity with any of the following: Microsoft Offices, Zendesk
Demonstrates ability to communicate clearly and effectively
Knowledge of property management operations, processes, and structure
Ability to work in a high-volume and high-pressure environment
Speaks Spanish or Chinese
