Laboratory Purchasing Coordinator - Day Shift

Responsibilities
Maintains inventory on hand at lowest possible level capable of meeting normal demand while keeping stock-out costs to a minimum
Tracks daily statistics such as census, revenue, purchases and actual stock-out costs
Maintains and accurate inventory of all supplies and purchases supplies such that required items are available for dispensing as needed
Expedites all purchase orders for timely delivery and reviews vendor invoices prior to payment, verifying quantities and pricing and determining appropriate expense coding
Assess accuracy of ordering and receiving processes to ensure appropriate quantities and avoid overstock
Monitors and assesses reasons for stock outages and provides feedback to management for preventing future outages
Participates in projects as appointed as required
Other related duties as required
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent
2 years related experience
Certified Pharmacy Tech License (Only required if working in a Pharmacy department)
Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of job related information
Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process
Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard
Strong interpersonal skills
