The role focuses on growing the Land Development practice and involves team management, business development, and overseeing project delivery.

Responsibilities
Providing strong leadership, guidance, and technical expertise to an existing exceptional Land Development Team
Lead civil design and production staff in planning, design, and execution of land development projects of moderate to advanced size and complexity
Make decisions independently and resolve complex problems
Manage direct reports
Be responsible for business development and manage budgets, personnel, schedules, sub consultants, and client interactions
Support operations managers and practice leaders in business development and pursuit of Land Development opportunities
Team performance (production, profitability, quality, staffing, etc.)
Maintain and further develop client relationships throughout the Austin Metro and beyond
Identify business opportunities and lead the successful pursuit of land development design projects
Directly manage projects and oversee project managers on various projects
Work closely with other Halff leaders and manage resources to successfully workshare across the company on multiple projects
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
At least 10 years of progressive experience to support Land Development projects including residential planning, design, and construction
Must have management experience
Professional Engineer (PE) License in Texas
Responsible for business development, production, and staffing
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
A positive attitude, be self-directed yet a team player, and have a focus on quality, integrity and success
