Family Services Program Analyst
The State of Delaware is seeking a Family Services Program Analyst to support the daily operation of the permanency program. The role involves analyzing foster care placement information, maintaining databases, and coordinating program planning to enhance service delivery.

Responsibilities
Assists in the development of regional or statewide programs designed to meet departmental objectives in accordance with state and federal regulations; Participates in planning activities for programs provided by regional, statewide and/or community service organizations
Provides technical assistance to community based organizations and private agencies to coordinate program planning and resource development in order to assist in improving service delivery
In conjunction with superiors, works with administrative and program staff in other public and private agencies to evaluate preliminary project results, identify service delivery problems, and program deficiencies and to reformulate specific objectives to be accomplished
Participates in the development of grant proposals to obtain funding for new programs and services
Conducts needs assessment; Develops data collection instruments; Assists in the compilation, analysis and evaluation of data; Participates in the development of plans for new or revised programs under supervision; Prepares requests for proposals and submits for approval
Monitors programs contracted to private agencies; conducts on-site reviews of contractual services to evaluate methods of operation, staffing and compliance with program treatment goals; Prepares report of findings and recommendations for action by superiors
Prepares a variety of reports regarding program activities
Coordinates the implementation of new or revised programs under the direction of higher level administrators
May participate and/or provide staff support to committees and task forces studying current programs' ability to meet current needs of communities and targeted population on a statewide or regional basis
Qualification
Required
Six months experience in health or human services work such as applying theories, principles, laws and practices of health or human services programs and services that assist with and improve life for individuals, families, or communities such as financial support, employment, unemployment, housing, health care, disease prevention, substance abuse, child protective services, physical/mental health treatment and prevention or rehabilitation
Six months experience in program evaluation which includes evaluating programs and services to identify problems, determine compliance and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency to ensure program goals and overall objectives are met
Six months experience in interpreting laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures
Six months experience in descriptive statistics such as the mean, median, mode or standard deviation
Six months experience in narrative report writing
