Responsibilities
Help uninsured or underinsured families apply for various government-sponsored healthcare resources, including MediCal and California Children's Services (CCS)
Assist families with payment plans and other options to resolve patient account balances
Work with departments across the house, including social work, case management, revenue cycle, physician billing, and more
Qualification
Required
A keen understanding of MediCal, MyBCW, CCS, and insurance authorizations is a must!
Able to follow specific policies and procedures, while also navigating the gray areas
Emotionally thoughtful, customer service-focused, and empathetic towards patients and families
The desire to learn and grow on a team of dedicated, tenured professionals
High school diploma, GED, or Foreign equivalent
Two years of experience
Preferred
Associate's Degree
Three years of experience
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
