Responsibilities
Assume full ownership of firm operations, including workflows, systems, staffing structures, and vendor management
Establish clear operational processes and accountability across the firm
Develop and execute short- and long-term operational and growth strategies
Create strategic priorities and implement processes that will achieve measurable outcomes
Oversee and coordinate administrative, finance, HR, intake, and operational functions
Identify staffing gaps and make hiring or fractional support recommendations
Ensure financial visibility through accurate reporting, forecasting, and budgeting
Oversee relationships with accounting, bookkeeping, and tax professionals
Oversee compliance, insurance coverage (including malpractice), and operational risk mitigation
Identify potential legal, financial, and operational risks and implement preventative control
Qualification
Required
Minimum 15 years of experience in a senior executive leadership role (COO, Director of Operations, Managing Director, or equivalent)
Demonstrated ability to stabilize and scale operations in a growing service-based or professional organization
Strong financial acumen, including experience working with and managing budgets, forecasts, and financial teams
Proven leadership, decision-making ability, and comfort operating with autonomy
Prior law firm experience is not required
