Characterization Engineer at the NNF Quantum Computing Programme
The Novo Nordisk Foundation Quantum Computing Programme is establishing an international team at the University of Copenhagen to drive research and innovations in quantum computing. The Characterization Engineer will support material characterization efforts, working closely with growth and fabrication teams to enact protocols and extract metrics across multiple quantum platforms.
Research
Responsibilities
Support our material characterization efforts
Enacting characterization protocols for our novel materials
Reliably and precisely extracting relevant metrics
Collaborate with the materials growth and fabrication teams
Collaborate with various international partners from industry and academia
Qualification
Required
PhD in physics, engineering, materials science or related
Experience with scanning tunneling microscopy, both at room and cryogenic temperatures
Experience with synchrotron-based measurement techniques e.g. XPS, ARPES
Experience with process engineering concepts, automation and data logging
Good communication skills and ability to work in a complex research program
