Responsibilities
Lead the full design lifecycle for complex, high-end residential projects—from concept development through final installation
Partner with the Principal Designer on creative visioning, design direction, and project planning
Source and specify FF&E, finishes, custom furniture, and artisanal materials with a strong eye for detail and quality
Liaise with architects, builders, fabricators, and vendors to ensure cohesive, fully realized interiors
Maintain and manage project schedules, budgets, reporting, and client invoicing with a focus on high-impact, high-margin outcomes
Develop and implement internal design systems, standards, and organizational tools to support studio efficiency
Lead internal project teams, delegate effectively, and ensure accountability to deadlines—both internal and external
Attend and travel to project site visits, client meetings, and FF&E installations as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field—or 7+ years of direct, hands-on experience in a senior-level role
7+ years of experience at a high-end residential design firm, with demonstrated project leadership and vendor relationships
Exceptional design sensibility, supported by a portfolio showcasing refined, custom interiors and high-level execution
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite; ID Nest experience is a plus
Comfort and fluency with modern technology, including AI tools, ChatGPT, and video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Teams, etc.)
Excellent communication, presentation, and team leadership skills
Strong organizational abilities and a genuine interest in process improvement
Proven ability to build trusted relationships with clients, builders, architects, and project partners
