Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of custom rules, workflows, skills, and personas that optimize our Windsurf code management practices across all development teams
Architect and build AI agents and MCP servers that automate repetitive tasks, enhance code quality, and accelerate development cycles
Develop robust automation solutions using scripts and tools that streamline the entire software development lifecycle—from ideation to deployment
Establish technical standards for AI tool usage, ensuring consistency, security, and best practices across the organization
Drive innovation by researching and evaluating emerging AI technologies and development tools, then piloting promising solutions
Create comprehensive documentation covering Windsurf code management, AI-assisted development patterns, and tool utilization best practices
Develop clear, actionable guides that make complex technical concepts accessible to developers at all skill levels
Build a knowledge repository that serves as the single source of truth for development standards, workflows, and tooling guidelines
Conduct hands-on workshops where developers can practice new techniques in a supportive, collaborative environment
Provide coaching to individuals and teams looking to enhance their capabilities with AI tools
Mentor the junior developer supporting implementation efforts, helping them grow their technical and professional skills
Partner with cross-functional teams —including developers, QA engineers, product managers, and architects—to understand their unique needs and challenges
Participate actively in technical design discussions, providing guidance on AI tool integration and development approaches
Serve as the subject matter expert for questions related to Windsurf, GitHub, Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence, and AI-assisted development
Translate technical possibilities into business value, helping stakeholders understand the impact of AI-powered development
Qualification
Required
7+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong track record of building scalable, maintainable software systems
Demonstrated expertise in full-stack development, comfortable working across frontend, backend, databases, and cloud infrastructure
Proven experience with AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Claude Code, or similar platforms
Strong background in building automation solutions—whether CI/CD pipelines, development workflows, or custom tooling that improves team efficiency
History of technical leadership—whether formal or informal—where you've influenced technical direction and mentored other engineers
Advanced proficiency with Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, GitLab (branching strategies, PR workflows, code review practices)
Expert-level knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps for agile workflows and documentation
Deep experience with Windsurf, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or equivalent AI-assisted development platforms
Strong proficiency in multiple languages—Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, Java, REACT, or similar
Advanced PowerShell, Bash, Python, Playwright scripting capabilities for workflow automation
Extensive experience building and deploying applications across the entire technology stack
Expert in designing and implementing RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and microservices architectures
Strong working knowledge of Azure, AWS, or GCP—including compute, storage, networking, and managed services
Proficient with both SQL (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis, Cosmos DB) databases
Understanding of design patterns, architectural principles, and system design best practices
Ability to design, build, and deploy custom AI agents tailored to specific development workflows
Deep understanding of MCP architecture and ability to develop custom servers
Expert-level skills in crafting effective prompts that maximize AI tool effectiveness
Proven ability to build CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and deployment automation
Familiarity with OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI APIs and how to integrate them into development workflows
Strong experience with Docker, container orchestration, and containerized application deployment
Proficiency with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, or similar automation platforms
Experience with Terraform, ARM templates, or CloudFormation
Understanding of logging, monitoring, and observability practices
Knowledge of OWASP Top 10, secure coding principles, and security testing
Understanding of HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, or other regulatory frameworks as they apply to software development
Awareness of data protection principles and how they impact AI tool usage in enterprise environments
Exceptional ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences—from junior developers to C-level executives
Genuine enjoyment of working with diverse teams, building consensus, and achieving shared goals
Innovative approach to identifying challenges and crafting elegant, practical solutions

Experience establishing coding standards and governance frameworks, particularly in regulated industries
Familiarity with Healthcare domains, understanding the unique compliance and security requirements
